Happy 2013!!

I can’t believe that it is 2013 already- where did this past year go??  It was here a second ago…but now it’s gone! Ah well, this year is going to be amazing – I can feel it. 2013 – here we come!

2012 was a pretty good year for me. I have been with my boyfriend for almost a year and a half now and we are so happy together. He completely has my heart. We moved in together about a year ago and I have been really happy. We just recently moved again and now we are living in Kitchener together. Our new place is a lot nicer than the one we had when we were living in Cambridge. The layout of the place is better, the location is great, and we don’t have to deal with all the construction that was going on at our old apartment. It’s a lot better overall.

My boyfriend and I had a great summer together – summer is our favorite season. We went fishing a lot, went to the beach a few times and even ended up going to MarineLand for a day. It was really enjoyable – I really can’t wait until next summer. Next summer is going to be amazing – we want to go to British Columbia and depending on our finances, would love to move there some day soon!

Back in August, my boyfriend and I were at a heavy metal concert with a friend of his. It was at Downsview Park in Toronto and it was a weekend event. We went both days and it was great until about 2 hours before the concert was finished for the weekend. I ended up breaking my ankle just before System of a Down was to perform. I was so upset that I wasn’t going to get to hear them – I had been looking forward to hearing them all weekend. As I was lying in the ambulance about to go to the hospital though, I remember hearing “Lonely Day” by System of a Down and I was singing along with the band. It was probably pretty comical to see. ;) Anyways, I got to the hospital and I ended up having to get a metal plate and 7 screws put into my ankle a week later. Definitely not fun. It was such an amazingly long healing period, but I FINALLY got off the crutches and the aircast about a month ago. I’m walking again, almost normally, although with a bit of a limp, and there’s not much pain anymore. I’m just really glad that I was able to heal correctly and put this injury behind me. :)

Well, I’m going to cut this short, so that’s about all for now.

Happy New Year everyone – I hope that it’s a great year and good things will come to all. =)

Cheers!
